On Thursday evening the North Topsail Beach Board of Alderman held a special meeting to conduct regular Town business.

Paid parking for the Town owned lots was on the agenda. Alderman voted to direct the Town Manager to explore the options that are available for the Town to maximize income potential that the lots would provide.

A vacancy on the Board was filled when Mayor Mcdermon broke a 2 – 2 tie and cast a vote for Robert Swantek to replace her on the seat she vacated.

The Town adopted a regular meeting schedule for the first Thursday of each month. With Town Hall still in disrepair from Hurricane Florence, the meetings for now will be held at the fire station, but are subject to change.

Delays to long awaited beach nourishment projects were forecasted by the Town Manager. Repairs to the Town Park should be completed by July 4th, according to his report.
