North Topsail Beach has seen heavy debates in the recent week due to Covid-19. Opening the Town back up to short term rentals had been opposed by many citizens and alderman, but the order was ultimately made by the Mayor. Recent budget concerns, procedural, and leadership structure of the Town were all topics spoken about by former Alderman Heid at Thursday’s meeting.
The Board has been in flux since the election in November and now sees another empty seat.
